Yup, just as I had dreaded – Brian and Justin, back together.

Message to QAF's producers/writers: YOU SUCK (and not in a good way either.)

Man-

The way some of you are posting, I am starting to feel like, not only am I not missing anything "fresh" this season (barring Buzz's comments regarding Ted and Emmett), but that I should probably sell off my earlier DVD season sets before the show self destructs and what fan base it has is obliterated.

Other shows go through growing pains, but this show, based on comments here, seems to be running on empty, with no new creative directions.

*sigh*

Sell them and use the money to buy the UK original version. Much much much better. Meaner and more heartless.

I watch this show for three reasons:

- I get a sick pleasure out of how much I hate the characters & storylines
- It's filmed in my neighborhood and I still get a kick out of spotting the locations
- I feel that I should support the Canadian indie directors (John Greyson, Bruce McDonald, etc) that work on the show

Kerry-

John Greyson is a fantastic director. Too bad he cannot affored to do more work of his own. His involvment with Showtime's QAF may have one good outcome: he is getting paid, and I hope that translates into more original work from him.

Yeah, that's why I feel guilty if I don't tune in and support them. I think it's great that they hire these people to work on the show. I've also noticed that they use a lot of Canadian indie musicians (Danny Michel and The New Pornographers come to mind, but there are more). It's great exposure for local talent and despite the horrible acting and dialogue and the stereotyping, I feel I should do my teeny part and watch.

Didn't Greyson do something recently, though? Maybe I'm confused. I always mix him up with Thom Fitzgerald (is that the right name of the guy that did The Hanging Garden?)

Well, based on my gut instincts agreeing with Kerry's comments,
I am going to send off my first two seasons of
Showtime's Queer As Folk to eBay.

If anyone wants them, let me know by June 5.

[email protected]

They are in "like new" condition
(I haven't even watched one disc from season 2.),
and for both sets, I will ask a HTF'er
(with a history here) for $50 total for both
plus shipping.

If I hear nothing,
they'll be on eBay sometime shortly after June 5,
selling separately.

And that concludes this "informercial" for you
gay folks and friends of gay folks. ;)

I only scanned this thread as I don't want to see spoilers for Season 3 before it's out on DVD.

Just finished watching the last episode of Season 2 on DVD last night. I just love this show! It's going to feel like a loooooong wait for Season 3 on DVD. :frowning:

I have absolutely no problem with characters repeating mistakes from the past -- people are like that. They find a comfort zone with certain types of behavior.

Anyway, won't be back in this thread to avoid spoilers, but just wanted to give a :emoji_thumbsup: to the show (at least as of the end of Season 2. )
