PVR misses shows once in a while (1 Viewer)

My Bell ExpressVu 5900 PVR fails to record it's daily programmed events ONCE IN A WHILE. Perhaps 1 out of 15 shows gets missed.

We're not sure whats happening here... The drive is nowhere near full, it'll turn itself on if it needs to, etc. So what could be wrong?

I hoped somebody might have had a similar issue, and could help us out.

The software was written by Dishnetwork. They suck at writing PVR software. Do some searches at DBS Talk and DBS Forums for information on the Dish 501 to find out all of the work-arounds. I was a former Dish customer with the original Dishplayer PVR. It was so bad, there was a class action lawsuit against Dish.

It looks like maybe my little glitch is nothing compared to some...

Guess I was wrong to expect reliability.
