I have a PS3 sending the audio through an optical cable to my Denon AVR-1800. I had this problem before and switched the optical cable to the other optical input on the receiver, and the problem went away. No I was getting sound cutting in and out. I checked each connection on the cable, and all seemed to be well. Then I tugged on the cord to make sure it wasn't bent, and that cleared up the problem for about 2 minutes. Tonight, it was cutting out so much that I switched back to optical input 1 to see if that would work, but I don't get any sound from there. How do I check which component it is? Is it the reciever, PS3, or the cable itself? What would cause said audio dropouts. Any help would be appreciated.
