PS2: benefits of component? (1 Viewer)

Currently my PS2 is connected to my LT260 projector via s-video, my other two consoles are connected via component. I haven't bothered to look for a PS2 component adapter because so few of the games run in progressive.

But one of the things I noticed with the Xbox and GC when I moved to component is everything got much sharper, even in games that were't progressive.

Can I expect any improvements by going component on the PS2, aside from the occasional progressive game?

EDIT: For the second time in my short time here, I started a thread in the wrong forum! This belongs in the hardware area, sorry!

You will notice similar improvements on the PS2 as you did on your Xbox and GC.

On a projector, you will notice.

On a small, interlaced direct-view TV, component isn't going to make much of a difference...especially with video games, which do not use as much color bandwidth as DVD does.
