By the way, Boardwalk Empire Season Two premiere introduced one of principal's from Prohibition and he wasn't named Al Capone nor any of the other famous gangsters.

I was surprised to see the Blu-ray and DVD on the release list for 10/4.

I spent my Saturday watching this show in its entirety from my Tivo recording.

For the most part, I really enjoyed Prohibition. As with every Ken Burns
documentary, it's a real history lesson. I liked the fact that we got a very

clear picture of the events leading up to Prohibition nearly a century prior
    to its enactment.

Of course, the most interesting aspect of the program deals with the

gangsters like Johnny Torrio and Al Capone.

I'll probably seek this out on Blu-ray at some point if I can pick it up

for under $20 on an Amazon deal. I don't think there is as much repeat

value in this documentary as perhaps The War, Baseball or The Civil War.
