Problem using the smilies pop-up window? (1 Viewer)

In trying to use the smilies pop-up window that appears above the text window, I can't seem to put smilies where I want them. When I click on a smiley in the pop-up window, it is placed at the end of my message, regardless of where I have the cursor. Anyone else noticed this?

That is the way they always have been and has to do with the javascript that puts them in the page.
