Howdy, I have an old Pioneer GMH-100 (or GM-100?) power amp in my truck. It was supplied with a 10 or 12 gauge power wire and an inline 30 amp fuse.
My fuse housing has fallen apart and I want to replace it. I am curious if they use the inline glass fuses for a reason, or could I use a 30 amp blade type fuse instead?
Also, I am kind of partial to using fusible links in my high current demand, under hood circuits. Would a fusible link be acceptable for use on a power amp?
Thanks in advance...

It doesn't really matter what type of fuse you pick as long as it is the correct rating (30amp), fast blow and the fuse holder is appropriate for a 30 amp application.
