Anchor Bay included in the single restored edition of

Halloween a postcard photo of some on set photos.

I have come across 3 different postcards;

a) A photo of Donald Pleasense & the nurse in the station

wagon from the start of the film. They look like they are

laughing and the photo is during a break or during a goof.

b) A photo of John Carpenter at the foot of the bed kneeling

and the boyfriend and girlfriend are in the bed smiling.

It looks like another break during filming.

c) A photo of Tony Moran (Michael Myers age 21) is standing

next to a van and is holding up the rubber mask.

He has a strange look, like "can you believe this mask?"

Are there any other photo postcards?

Thanks!

Thanks for the info.

I have been collecting the Anchor Bay Halloween items

they have issued over the years. For the 20 year Ann.

they issued a 2 VHS tape set that had a small b&w photo

book (3"x4.5" 16 pp.) called "Everyone is entitled to one

good scare - Anniversary Scrapbook". The VHS also had a

black plastic key ring with Michael Meyers picture on it

called "Halloween 20 Years of Terror". Also something

strange for a VHS set, the cover had reverse printing that

had photos of the international poster art for Halloween.

I have the Limited Edition 2-disc and my copy includes the photo of John Carpenter kneeling.

Actually it is somewhat a ominous picture with the jack-o-lantern in the background. But maybe that's just me.

BTW How many of the limited editions were released? Mine only has the number, but I'm guessing 50,000.

I also have the limited edition 2-disk set which contains the picture of Donald Pleasance & the nurse. I'm not sure how many were produced either, but I have #6882. I am a HUGE fan of Halloween and John Carpenter in general. The Anchor Bay transfer was in a word, FREAKING AMAZING!! This is a prime example of the difference between a"remastered" version and a "restored" version, not to mention the fact that it has the originol mono soundtrack for the purists. In December I bought a used laserdisc player and found a copy of the CAV Criterion Collection Halloween which has the Carpenter, Debra Hill, & Jamie Lee commentary recorded in 1994. Needless to say, I loved every minute of it and wished it was on the dvd.

I also have the Criterion laser disc with the commentary.

It also has another outstanding feature;

An isolated music track.

I have watched many sections with the music track only and

the power of Carpenter's music makes Halloween a great movie.

It was a shame that the DVD's couldn't have a music only track.

I checked my limited edition copy and the included postcard is a close-up of Nick Castle (who plays Michael Meyers) leering at the camera with maniacal bug-eyes while holding up the The Shape's mask next to his face.

I just got a quick note from the helpful people at Anchor Bay

and they only made four postcards of b&w photos from the

set of Halloween 1 as an extra.

It would appear to then be;

1) Jamie Lee on the grass smoking during a break

2) Adult Meyers actor with the mask in hand by a van

3) Donald Pleasense & Nurse in station wagon

4) Carpenter at the foot of the bed with two actors during a break.

Keep collection Anchor Bay!
