Polk RM 7500 crossover frequency... (1 Viewer)

From looking at the test reports linked below for the RM7500(12th chart on that page), it looks as though I should be setting my crossover frequency at 100 Hz. Is that correct, or is the 80 Hz fine?

This might be for a different forum, but does does the crossover apply to your CD player as well when you set the crossover point on your receiver? Just curious because it sounded like my satellites were trying to play some deep base causing the woofers to rattle a little for a couple songs from my cd player.

Don't use 80 Hz. With a typical 12 dB/octave high pass filter rate, it will place too much of a bass demand on the small sats. Use 100 or even 120 with a sub/sat system.
