when the deal went, and Uni purchased the back catalog did it include all the silents? ,

I understand that none of the silents were included. When MCA purchased the titles from Paramount in early 1958 the intention was to package the sound titles for local TV sales.

Paramount should still control the silents and I would like to see Kino release The Covered Wagon. It's a hope since Kino said there were a few silent titles in their package.

I'm always very pleased with the fine quality blu-ray product that Kino has consistently turned out. Great titles made available for film enthusiasts who look forward to having access to their favourite movies.

And how! X, THE MAN WITH X-RAY EYES (1963), QUEEN OF BLOOD (1966), NIGHT TIDE (1962), GOG 3D (1954), PLANET OF THE VAMPIRES (1965), JOURNEY TO THE 7TH PLANET (1962), THE SATAN BUG (1965), TALES OF TERROR (1962), WAR-GODS OF THE DEEP (1965), DR. GOLDFOOT AND THE BIKINI MACHINE (1965), THE MARK OF ZORRO (1941), THE MASK 3D (1961), PANIC IN YEAR ZERO (1962).

More? The recently fully restored Cinecolour Randolph Scott westerns CANADIAN PACIFIC (1949) and THE CARIBOU TRAIL (1950). The list is endless!

Forthcoming THE LODGER (1944), THE UNDYING MONSTER (1942), HANGOVER SQUARE (1945), WITCHCRAFT (1964), I WAKE UP SCREAMING (1942), ONE MILLION YEARS B.C. (1966) and the fan-financed SEPTEMBER STORM 3D (1960)..

Kino impressively deals with the BIG league players. MGM, 20th Century-Fox and now Paramount Pictures.

As far as suggestions that are likely to be gratified.

I don't think that VISIT TO A SMALL PLANET (1960) with Jerry Lewis has ever received a stateside home entertainment release.

I can further suggest any Jerry Lewis and Jerry Lewis and Dean Martin films that can be obtained.

There are independently produced 1960s SF B-film doublebill programmers in the vaults of Paramount that I've wanted to have been made available in quality blu-ray releases including CYBORG 2087 (1966), DIMENSION 5 (1966) and DESTINATION INNER SPACE (1967).

I'm still longing for a super-quality blu-ray release of THE WORLD OF SUZIE WONG (1960).

And the four popular Paramount 1950s SF film classics WHEN WORLDS COLLIDE (1951), WAR OF THE WORLDS (1953), THE CONQUEST OF SPACE (1955) and I MARRIED A MONSTER FROM OUTER SPACE (1958).

As a fan of THE FUGITIVE (ABC 1963-67) tv series starring David Janssen I'd love to see WARNING SHOT (1967) now made available on blu-ray.

In addition to TARGETS (1968) boasting a great performance by Boris Karloff.

And let's not forget John Frankenheimer's riveting SF nightmare thriller SECONDS (1966).

Thank you Kino for putting a sincere interest of your clients on a par with profitable sales motivation. I think that in attempting to gratify the former you will successfully achieve the latter. In other words everyone gains with this winning "partnership."

"We're No Angels" (1955). Christmas fun on downtown Devil's Island with Bogart, Ustinov, Rathbone, Joan Bennett, Leo G. Carroll, Aldo Ray, a little snake named Adolf, and VistaVision. It's an excellent DVD waiting to become a great Blu-Ray.
