Pioneer VSX-D812 receiver (1 Viewer)

i recently bought the ONKYO 510 speakers from circuitcity. i want to get a nice receiver to go along with it.

i always wanted to buy the ONKYO HTS-760 home theater system. can someone tell me how the pioneer 812 receiver compares with the ONKYO 510 receiver that comes with ONKYO HTS-760. the ONKYO 510 receiver has 0.08% THD whereas the pioneer 812 has 0.2% THD. which one is better?

also, how does the pioneer 814 compares with the pioneer 812. one difference that i see is that the 814 has a DAC of 192KHz / 24-Bit whereas the 812 has 96KHz / 24-Bit. is this important? thanks.

Off the top of my head the 812 would be more comparable to the 601 not the 501.

But, in this price range I'd go with an 812, 814, or 912, 914.

But, Onkyo is good so don't count it out. You really need to research the feature differences to see whcih one will meet all your needs the best.

thank you for your reply. i am still a newbie in audio receiver stuff and thats why i decided to ask in this forum. i didn't find any major differences between the ONKYO 510 and PIONEER 812 though.
