Does anyone own or have any opinions on the toshiba 57hlx82 lcos or the phillips 55pl977s televisions. Any help would be appreciated and possible placed to purchase either. Thanks. I am leaning toward one of these instead of the sammy tantus.

57HLX82 is no longer produced, and they cancelled this current year's model (57HL83). Yield problems, among other things.

There have been some issues with the Philips set as well. Might almost be worth it to wait and see if the JVC D-ILA sets coming in June are any good.

You can do a search under my name if you want...I had the Philips set, but decided to go with FP instead.
