Hey, I was just getting ready to post the news!

Anyway, I hope it will be better than the Substance disc. Too bad about no special features - I liked LOTR but it's a shame we can't get SEs of any of his other works.

I have the Subtance DVD of this film,

and will promptly put it on eBay.

Funny thing is, I could've sworn that

reports stated Jim Henson Studios would

sue if this title was ever released in the US.

    (Substance is in Canada.)

Agree with Ken, I really want the movie, but having never heard of this company, I'll wait for reviews.

You know, the transfer on the Substance disc is pretty bad. This new company would really have to work to be worse...

But I do wish they would at least get the rights to "Sex Drugs and Soft Toys" which is a mini-documentary. It's not quite as much fun as "Good Taste Made Bad Taste", but it would still be worth it.

Yep. It cannot be worse than the

Substance DVD.. And if it is,

I can always order it from another

    Canadian on-line retailer.

Stupid movie. Hated it. The ONLY time I laughed was when the frog was doing his knife throwing routine, while he was drugged up. That was it...I didn't even watch it after the frog had a vietnam flashback...that's when I said "enough is enough" and turned this garbage off.

I showed my friend Cara this film,
and after watching the film her comment was:
"The most amazing thing about this film
is that you have seen it more than once."

I love this film, but I make no bones about
saying it is a horrible, tacky, uber-sick film.
Rarely do I like films in this genre, but
Peter Jackson does put some undefineable
appeal in his "Shit-Schlock" films that
    I find quite entertaining.
This film and Dead Alive are "must own" titles for me.

This a true cult classic...it has that twisted sense of humor, that you just have to get in order to like the film...all else will just be offended ect if you actually take the film seriously & have no sense of humor at all.
I loved Dead/Alive....but this film took some getting used to. I tryed watching it when on the Sundance Channel, but just wasn't into it & didn't find it as funy as reputed to be,aside from a few crazy moments like the nam flashback/Deer Hunter paraody.
I finnaly watched the entire movie on another showing late night & thought the movie was great, really funny, entertaining, original & very outragous....in other words,my kind of movie[IMG]

From now on, I'm going to go into every thread where I didn't like the film in question and post "Stupid movie. Hated it." That way everyone can partake of my excellent analysis of each and every film!

Well said Julie, good analysis of Jackson's work. How about leading us in a chorus of Sodomy? [IMG]

    Julie-
You just explained to me why I like
    Meet The Feebles and
    Dead Alive, but don't like
    ANY other "shlock" films.
    Excellent!

    Greg,
Do you really want me to go into why I didn't like it? Cause if you do...I sure got the time...
First, I found most of it in bad taste....For me, I just didn't find it funny, and I didn't like it. I thought it was garbage. "JOKES" revolve around a drugged up frog, a rat in the porn industry, and a seal having sex with a cat! Not to mention the bad language, toilet humor( I like it when it's funny, Dumb and Dumber is good example of toilet humor that I think works), and an elaphant that can't get an erection. The idea of muppets cursing and killing each other just isn't my cup of tea.
Also, Greg, I didn't notice you posting a review. I came in here because I was curious about why you guys liked it. I hated it. That's just my opinion, so I posted it. I was just telling you what I thought, that's all. Greg, I'll be looking forward to your review [IMG]
