I got a geforce card hooked to my widescreen via svideo cable.
i was hoping for a quick fix and get this squared away until i could afford a transcoder or dvi-hdmi cable.
so i have to unhook my monitor, then plug in the svideo cable. Turn the TV on, turn the PC on. It boots fine, then once windows is done loading and ready to goto the desktop, it goes black and stays black.
I can reboot and go into safe mode and the desktop and everything will be fine except its just in 640x480 and its in safe mode. I want it to boot normal with a higher res.
Now, is it limited to 640x480 only because of the svideo cable??
How can i increase the res to fill the widescreen's proportions and have windows allow it?
Im thinking its predominantly the limitations of svideo, if thats the case, i just wasted $40.
Theres GOT to be a way to send high res signals through the svideo.
Help!
thnx.
