Pat Metheny Group: The Way Up DVD (1 Viewer)

I was on DVD Town and saw an article about this concert DVD being the first triple format release (DVD, HD-DVD, and Blu-Ray) come October 3.

Strange how not even the group's own website mentions this DVD release.

I'm settling for the DVD release and I hope it's like the previous concert DVD: anamorphic widescreen, DD and DTS 5.1.

I haven't visited the website so long I didn't know that the Geffen CD titles were being remastered with five albums already released and two more on the way! So much for being the ultimate fan...

I went to the Eagle Rock website and found the product page:

DVD Empire's listing says anamorphic widescreen with DTS 5.1 audio.

Both sites say the entire album (Opening, Parts 1-3) will be the only tracks on the DVD. That's slightly disappointing knowing the capacity a DVD has. A 22-minute interview with Pat is the only listed extra. I was hoping for some songs not shown on previous live DVDs.

But I'll reserve true judgment until it comes out and hopefully someone posts a review of it.
