just auditioned

paradigm studio 20's v.3, cc-570 v.3, servo 15, adp170 v.2
powered by Yamaha RX-V1400 & parasound A23.

first i listened to denon 2105 with this combination then the yammy.

that was the salesman's suggested system.

initially i was thinking denon 3805 wud do the job for this setup. the dealer said amp wud make a great difference,( and with this amp it is obvious). and suggested there's no need to go for 3805 with this amp, rx-v1400 wud do a good job with this amp.

i wanted to get ur suggestions and opinions regarding all this.

i have a and tv set capable of displaying 1080i, a simple progressive dvd player. i can spend some extra cash for 3805 if it makes a difference in video.

Keep the yamaha receiver and go with an outboard amp later. I have a yamaha htr5790 with a matched pair studio 40,s and it sounds good.

The amps in the 1400 are very anemic so the Parasound will make a big difference.
