Paramount releases (Gasp!) a 1950's film on Blu-ray (1 Viewer)

Just to bring everyone up-to-date, there is currently

no plans for Paramount to release Once Upon A Time

In The West on Blu-ray domestically.


However, they are possibly looking to do it after seeing

how well True Grit sells on the format.

I'm contributing to the cause of this title by preordering the Duke's version of "True Grit" on BD at Amazon...saw it 41 years ago in the cinema and loved it!!! Hope buying this will spur the release of "Once Upon A Time In The West" at Paramount as well!!!

2012 is Paramount's 100th anniversary so we may see a flood of titles them

This is so odd, "Once Upon a Time in the West" is on so many want lists. Amazon has a place holder for it. It was recently screened at the Motion Picture Academy - with a restored print only a few years ago (It looked great)


Why wouldn't this get a Blu-ray release. "True Grit" is being released only to tie in with the remake. This is no remake of "OUATIW" this makes no sense


And where's "My Fair Lady"???? - Paramount who knows how long you will have CBS under you family?

Amazon puts up placeholder listings all the time. It has no bearing on there being an actual release.
