I agree! I have been trying to find a copy to watch, for years, since I saw a clip of it on Martin Scorsese's documentary. I really hope this is a consideration!

Paramount, hoping that we’ll see some of these noirs in 2005:

I could have easily listed a dozen or so more but now belong to Universal.
Looking forward to your 2005 release of Man In The Vault (1956)

I read quite a while ago that there was going to be a Grease S.E. in 2004 but that never came to be. Hope we will see that in 2005. Also a Titanic S.E would be great!!!
The highly-acclaimed new film TARNATION by Jonathan Caouette contains clips from many Paramount properties, some now available like THE LITTLE PRINCE and ROSEMARY'S BABY, and some still not on DVD, most notably LET'S SCARE JESSICA TO DEATH and COME BACK TO THE FIVE AND DIME JIMMY DEAN JIMMY DEAN.
I think this could be good free promotion to jog people's memory and thus justify release of the latter two titles.

ACE IN THE HOLE reguarly tops the various lists of "Not on Home Video/DVD" and I'm sure Paramount is aware of the demand. I can't help but feel that there's something else that's holding this title back like bad elements or legal entanglements. Someone at Paramount could at least update the DVD community to the status of this title and hopefull get something going with it while Kirk Douglas is still with us (thank goodness).
I agree. The strange thing is that Amazon have been accepting requests for some time to notify people when 'Ace In The Hole' is announced on DVD, and they usually do this only when they have a heads-up from the studio that there are firm plans to release the title.
If Paramount have indeed given Amazon such an indication, it would be good if they could make their plans known to the many fans of this great movie.
I see that Shirley Valentine has been released in the UK and Enchanted April released in Germany...so they are hopefully getting closer to the North American market. Incidently the version of Enchanted April is in original English with German subtitles that can be turned off. It's readily available on E-Bay for those with multi region players. Here is the specific info:
German release. The movie is in English (English language, German language option also available). The subtitles can easily be removed (German or French subtitles ON/OFF). 16:9 Widescreen (1.85:1). appr. 89 minutes. Dolby digital 2.0.
