Our Idiot Brother - quick review (1 Viewer)

Paul Rudd plays the idiot brother Ned with 3 sisters (played by Elizabeth Banks, Zooey Deschanel, and Emily Mortimer) who all have their own issues to deal with, and a mother, but Paul goes to jail after selling pot to a uniformed policeman in broad daylight, and when he gets out, things have changed for his living situation, and he has to rely on his family to get him through the tough times. Even though the plot points rely on Ned's cluelessness and naive outlook on life to mine its humor, and play the game of telephone to cause confusion to sustain the plotlines. Even with their issues, the sisters are still sympathetic enough characters. I give it 2.75 stars, or a grade of B-.
