According to Onkyo's Compare feature, the 807 has:

    1) 25 wpc more power
    2) 3 Stage Inverted Darlington Circuitry (and I thought I knew what everything was )

    3) Audyssey DSX

    4) 1 more hdmi input

    5) Zone 3

    6) Sirrius Radio

    7) RS 232

    8) IR Input

    9) 12 Volt Trigger for Zone 2

These compare features are not always accurate but that's a lot for $50!

    They're both current models.

Don't skimp on the speakers and especially the sub. That's where you get the most for your money.

Harmony One is a good thing.

The Onkyo 507 BR is probably a re-badge of another brand. That's what they did with the old 502 universal dvd player from a few years back. It was almost a clone of the Pioneer 563 on the inside. Not sure which one the 507 might be. Not saying it's a bad thing, just wanted to let you know.

I don't know of anyone who didn't like an SVS subwoofer or their speakers. They're a steal at the sale price.

I second the recommendation on SV Sound products. I have heard their speakers and subs and they are some of the best bang for the buck out there.
