I seem to be stuck in a '70s time warp so I'll add a nomination for Dirty Mary Crazy Larry.

Kinda disappointed that no one is showing the love for Vanishing Point - the quintessential car film from the '70s, IMHO. Oh well.

Vickie - I was lucky enough to see Kiss or Kill theatrically and thought that the scenes featuring the Australian outback benefited from the big screen presentation.

- Walter.

Edited to fix the title of Dirty Mary Crazy Larry. I always get the names reversed when I think of this title.

Walter, I've heard good things about Vanishing Point, but I've never seen it.

Brook,

Vanishing Point is probably the most existential of the 'car' films from the '70s, with a fine, understated performance from Barry Newman. ( One of the pleasures of The Limey was seeing Newman behind the wheel again in the Mercedes chase sequence. )

Only need 7 more Wild Cards. My plan is to get this tourney on the road tonight at 8:30 p.m. Pacific Time. I still see several worthy choices like Joy Ride, Two-Lane Blacktop, Near Dark, Vanishing Point, The Wraith, and Cannonball Run II, still needing support. :)

I've only seen 4 of the wild cards, and it's been a loooooong time since I saw Near Dark.
