OMG, just got done watching ROOTS on DVD... (1 Viewer)

... and I am simply stunned!! NO WORDS could describe my shock at seeing how excellent this transfer was! Don't know if they did a full film restoration but the picture literally looked (for about 90% of it) like it was shot today!

The skin tones where dead on, the colors eyepopping and the sharpness! OMG the sharpness is something I never anticipated for a 25yr old television mini-series.

Don't know what Warner is doing over there nowadays but they seem to have perfected the DVD transfer! I don't know of any other studio pulling this off!

Thoughts?

I agree. The last few transfers I have seen from Warner have been outstanding. I just watched Training Day and I don't think it could be any better.
