JJ Abrahams has to realize this is NOT Lost and an on-going series. He failed to give any sort of backstory or meaning to why and where this stuff came from
Yeah, just found out that's the camera they actually used. Not too many regular people have that as their camcorder though. Maybe he had a porn business on the side. Or maybe he was hired by a Japanese adult film company.
I enjoyed it. I would have liked a little more info at the end. Thus not ruining the whole setup. My little nitpicks.... -Was it me or did the creature seem to be following the group? -When the 3 of them get picked up in the helicopter. Why did the helicopter seem to follow the creature as its getting bombed? Wouldn't it have been safer to go the complete opposite of where the creature was?
It did seem to follow them but I don't think so, it was a large creature and it's body mass covered many blocks of city, and I think that the helicopter was just gaining altitude and the creature was moving beneath them, it didn't seem to me that they were purposfully following it.
Fantastic time. Packed house, largest theater in the multiplex, real old-school horror crowd. Perfectly executed. Excellent screenplay by Drew Goddard and excellent cinematography and direction.
I don't know about anyone else but I get a natural high from watching movies as exciting as this one. I called my best friend when I got home to tell her about it and she could tell that I was still jittery and excited, I was.
At this very moment i'm reliving some of the scenes in my head, this might just be the film that pushes me into Blu Ray, the gorgeous video aside the soundtrack for this movie practically screams (or should I say roars?) for the lossless audio of Blu Ray.
What are all the viral sites? I'm a very late comer to this movie campaign but after seeing it last night, I'm fully in. For the record, I loved the movie. All the unanswered questions makes me that much more intrigued by the movie as time passes. My buddies all had mixed opinions of it but what do they know.
Biggest January opening day I believe: $16.9M. I guess the Internet crowd decided to stop playing their video games and downloading illegal stuff and actually pay to watch a movie.
