BUMP to notify Craig of my filling in the missing categories, and change Best Song from "Triplets of Belleville" to "Into the West"

I'm totally guessing, of course, but they SOUND good ;)

I'm holding on my initial picks. the only change (besides Into the West) I made was Zellweger to Aghdashloo and that was after a day or two of thinking about it. I WAS FIRST, SUCKAS! For awhile there I was the only one out on that limb, but I see a few of you gamblers climbed out with me.

Should be fun.

At least one actor will be run off the stage for political speech that drags on ;) (that's my other prediction)

Chris--there's actually an article over at moviecitynews.com: Joe Roth is producing the Oscars, and his main thing is "less dance numbers, way less musical--more acceptance speech"

He's aiming to play NOBODY off, and he's actually already guaranteed that Bill Murray will get to talk as long as he wants while presenting.

Watching might be more fun this year BECAUSE of the fact that the actors already all know they're free to ramble and speak out if they wish.

Updated mine. Pretty much just changed my showier format and got rid of my stupid little comments. Biggest change was the addition of the documentary short and live action short categories and I changed my prediction for adapted screenplay to Seabiscuit.

I changed 3 items in my list, 2 to reflect changes in opinion, 1 to correct a mistake.

I changed my prediction on Costume Design from Return of the King to The Last Samurai.

I changed my prediction on Film Editing from Return of the King to City of God

And I corrected a mistake on predicting Return of the King for Best Adapted Screenplay -- this one's almost certainly going to Mystic River (feel better now, Ernest? :))

bump

I narrowed all choices to only 1, though I still have a couple boiling that I might swap. Score and Adapted remain my toughest picks.

I hope Johnny's win tonight for Best Actor at the SAG's translates into a Best Actor win next week at the Oscars. Here's hoping.....

Changed my animated feature pick.

From "Belleville" which I thought might surprise
to "Nemo" which I thought would win anyway. ;)

Totals:

ROTK - 8
Master & Commander - 2
Mystic River - 2
Finding Nemo - 2
Everything else - 1 or 0

These are my predictions. The ones I felt I was going most out on a limb for were Score (favorite is ROTK, but FOTR won here so I'm forced to wager the Academy will pick something else, I don't think Newman has won an Oscar yet) and Adapted Screenplay (Mystic's been the big favorite for a while, but a major ROTK sweep could pick up the award, and since I'm predicting 8 wins for ROTK that seems like a major sweep).
