I'll probably buy The Man Who Never Was. I like this film, partly because I'm a great admirer of Clifton Webb, one of the most stylish and polished actors ever to appear on the silver screen. Far too often he was asked to play prissy, snobbish characters which we did with great skill. He was however capable of far more and The Man Who Never Was demonstrates this.
It is not commonly known but that wonderful Cole Porter song At Long Last Love was first introduced to Broadway audiences by Clifton Webb, several years before he went to Hollywood.
