"The adding of a simple link in a thread, to another web site, without any substantial additional material, is something we frown upon here."
Just curious, what brought this on?
Thanks.

Keith,
Here is the problem....
Lately, too many posts have been cropping
up that contain just a simple link to another
website.
Most of the time it's posts like, DVD FILE
REVIEWS THE GRINCH or MY REVIEW OF SHREK.
All that is contained in the post is a link to
another website.
Most of the times this is done innocently. Other
times people purposely come to this site to
advertise material on their website.
We don't go to other forums and post links back
to our site. I don't understand why information
posted on another forum isn't discussed
there. After all, someone made the effort to post
that information there.
We just want to avoid having our forum used as
a portal for other discussion forums.
If you want to post a link to another site, at
least write a few introductory paragraphs that
summizes the information, then put a link.
Thanks
