Dell has just released their new 30 inch (yes I said 30 inch) LCD monitor. It is the 3007WFP UltraSharp Widescreen with 2560 x 1600 res, 700:1 contrast, 11ms response time, digital DVI-D TMDS and a 3 year warranty for $2199.

They also have a great deal on Dell's UltraSharp 2005FPW 20.1" widescreen LCD monitor with 1680x1050 resolution, 300 cd/m2 brightness, 600:1 contrast, DVI, VGA, S-Vid, & Composite, 12ms gray to gray response time, and 16ms response time for $579 with an automatic 20% off for a final price of $463.20!

Check out our Deals Page for the links to these great monitors and more.

Now I just need to find the space for a 30 inch monitor on my desktop. :)

$463.20, same as dell :)

i really want the 2405fpw. but, i dont need a monitor yet. this 19" trinitron i bought from dell 6+ years ago is still running like a champ. as soon as it goes, i'm seriously considering either the 2005 or 2405. mike fassler, how is the 2405 for ghosting on games? i dont really play any now, but with this overpowered system, i'd probably get cedega going and do some sweet linux gaming with the 2405. also, would be nice to work on two things side by side.

I got the UltraSharp 2005FPW when it got down to ~$380 4 months ago...from a deal posted by Apex. So the $463.20 is just a luke warm deal. Wait a week or two and there will be those stackable coupons again. 20% off + $60 off.

Awesome monitor btw. :emoji_thumbsup:

Davef:

Thanks for the heads up. I have modified my post to take out the "special deal" part for the new 30 inch LCD.

Click through a configuration like I did the other day and you might come upon a price of $1,999.

Last night's deal on the 9150 for $1200 with 24" LCD seemed really good. I configured it with the 830 CPU and 2 GB RAM, 3 yr warranty for $1800 + s/h. That seemed like a great price, but I'm not quite ready to buy. Any opinions on whether that really is a good deal, or is "normal" for the current market?

I recall 30% XPS coupons this summer and I'm hoping they'll return.

Sounds like a good deal, especially with 2G Ram and a 24" monitor. I have been configuring systems for a while now and I seem to recall that the 9100 series has been rolled into the XPS line.
Update: That $1,999 price was with an XPS purchase.

hehe I wouldnt sell this badboy, I think my old lady would be upset I didnt give it for her pc. besides I dont think id be able to game very well on that 30" monitor without SLI and Id rather not fork over another big bunch of cash for another video card, My addiction to getting tatooed has taken over lately and as you may know that isnt cheap either ;)
