Just out of a sake of curiosity, why is it that attendees MUST stay 7 nights at the Beverly Garland Holiday Inn? Is it because a minimum number of rooms needed to be booked? I have bo problem with the hotel, as I've stayed there twice and it's a nice facility in a nice location. I can't attend the meet, but just thought requiring a seven night outlay at a single hotel seemed a little heavy handed. Do HTF members that live in the L.A. area have to stay at the hotel as well?

I believe it has to do with the group discount. By doing 7 days we get a better price than normal. And yes, even locals wanting to attend have to do the hotel stay - probably for a minimum number of rooms.
