Directors Name That Movie - Audio Edition (1 Viewer)

I'm going ahead and starting a new type of name that movie contest, so there will be two running at the same time for a little while, but I think they are different enough.


This one will use mp3 audio clips. Some will have dialog, some will have theme music. Whatever I come up with.


Anyone who has played one of my contests know I handle them a little differently than most others. Answers are submitted by email. There is no need to include the round #. It is in the email address in the link for each round. You will have to make sure your browser is configured to play back mp3 files, probably with Quicktime. These days, browsers are usually already configured this way.

Guesses can be changed once for each round, but if you change your mind, you are stuck with the second guess.


Back in a minute with the first round.

John, you might need to check out the properties of your audio file. When I play it in Win Amp it gives me the name of the clip, which contains the answer, not just the renamed filename you gave it.

I would have got it anyway, but Simon is right the title is displayed in WinAmp.

Neat idea for a contest though.

You're right. I didn't even think about that. I'll post a new clip in a little while.

I have to re-encode most of my clips in mp3 now

OK, the new clip (without the answer embedded in it) is now up. Needless to say, guesses for the first clip need to be sent again for the new one.

I loaded the original clip Here to see if I don't have to re-encode everything. Could some of you guys check it in your players? It should now just read "01" in the title.
