I can buy the AV-1S for $470.00 or the RE-3 for $250.00 both are used but in good condition, and in my country the prices are not so bad (still, it will be useful to know the aprox price of both on the USA).
The AV-1S is a Dolby Pro-Logic receiver that can put 120 watts RMS on two channels. I want the equipment just for music, so I don't care if it is only Pro-Logic.
The RE-3 can put 40 watts RMS per channel.
My speakers are Klipsch Heresy with a sensibility of 96dB, and can handle 100 watts RMS. With their sensibility I think that even the 40w of the RE-3 are ok.
Any opinions, specially first hand, will be really appreciated!
