Hello and thanks for the help! I am fairly new in home theater. I have some older PSB speakers that I love and am thinking about completing the 5.1 with additional PSB products. I am looking at a NAD 757 receiver here is the link : http://www.spearitsound.com/Surround_Receivers-NAD_T757.htmlFirst, I wonder if anyone knows the company and next is there any suggestions of other receivers around the 1k range that I should consider? Thank you.

That's a great price for this receiver. I don't remember how much it originally went for, but it was a LOT more. Just note that this is an older model. It was replaced by the T758 and NAD has two more recent higher level receivers: the T777 and the T787.

One of the things nice about the NAD is that they have upgradable modules, although the company is quite slow at getting out new ones. It took them forever to support DTS-HD and Dolby True HD.

I haven't heard their receivers so I can't comment on their sound quality, but NAD does have a good reputation, although if you read web forums, I think you'll find that their receivers are a bit finicky.

Check out this forum: http://www.avsforum.com/t/902321/the-nad-t775-t785-avrs-w-hdmi-1-3-thread/4110 . There may be another one on the same site specifically for the 757.
