Yep, the Fun-Dips had two sticks way back when. I haven't had one in a long time, but I think they only have one stick now. Damn inflation. But, all that dippin for a taste of grape sugar was never enough...I went right for the PixieStix myself.

I was a big fan of Bonomo's Turkish Taffy - Chocoloate (the best), Vanilla (good), Banana (good), Strawberry (disgusting). It came in a flat bar, in a wrapper with foil on the inside, with instructions: hold it in the palm of your hand and break it into pieces on the sidewalk! (Or you could chew it off the ends, in long sticky hard strings). It was ubiquitous throughout my childhood, albeit expensive (I think a bar was a nickel) but then it disappeared. I did run into it in little bite-sized, individually wrapped pieces 19 years ago - but since then, it has vanished (I couldn't even find it at that hometown favorites food site). The joys of my lost youth . . . .
