Richard, I blew Pepis out my nostrils when I read your post! Oh my God, I can actually hear the Dude responding. I love Big Lebowski threads, they are alway full of clever uses of dialogue from the movie.

Hey guys,
In reviewing this thread, I came across a very interesting review for Lebowski. I don't know exactly how to explain it, so I'll just provide a link:

Bridges seems to have fun carrying out the plot even if it does grate on our nerves at times. Of course, he's no where near as annoying as Goodman, who plays a war vet, the kind it is impossible to be around for more than 2 seconds. Goodman is so obnoxious and so grating that it is difficult to sit still for the film at times. Worse yet is the way he treats Buscemi's Donnie. Sure, the guy is a bit of a simpleton, but he's likable. We get frustrated at the way Goodman always stifles him. Mainly we sit around and wonder how these three divergent guys got together and how something as lame as bowling can keep them friends.

Yikes!
This guy also gave the film an F for music, which I felt was one of the better elements of the film.

The possiblities could be endless for the "in character" commentary.

BTW...Donnie wouldn't have to be dead......these could be the characters of the Dude, Donnie and Walter recounting their characters experience of the movie making experience.

Raising Arizona & Fargo definately kicked some @ss but

THE BIG LEBOWSKI is a bona-fide classic.
