anyone know if there are plans for a good widescreen release of the original here in the US? God, I hope so. My VHS is soooooo old. Works...but it's old. In fact, I need to transfer it to DVD sometime soon if there is no DVD in site. Thanks you advance.

I bet you there will be one once the remake hits next October. If there's one thing that these remakes ARE good for, are the re-releases of the originals in Special Editions DVDs.

You said something there!

Has the Lets Scare Jessica to Death remake come out yet? I've enjoyed the DVD of that great little atmospheric gem 3 or 4 times already. To think I nearly bought a lame VHS of that on amazon.com's marketplace. I remember picking up Flight of the Phoenix on the cheap too! Certainly not the remake...the original. Man I was happy that day!

I say keep those remakes coming!!!

Red Dawn could be a pretty awesome remake if done well. I'm not sure if it would be made tongue in cheek ala "Starship Troopers" or a straight action. I'd go for either.

I'm pretty sure that Logan's Run is also on the Remake track for 2010.
