I've never gotten around to seeing a Paul Naschy film, either as a director or actor. I've always thought that they were rather cheesy films, but I admit to being intrigued by the trailer for Panic Beats which I've seen on several recent DVDs.

Naschy's most popular work is with other directors (who I plan to enter soon) but PANIC BEATS is one of his best IMO. I'm not sure Naschy's direction pushes it into the "good" area but if you like nake women, gore and Euro atmosphere then it's good. I prefer it to HORROR RISES FROM THE TOMB, which PANIC BEATS is a somewhat sequel to.

NIGHT OF THE WEREWOLF (aka THE CRAVING) is due next year from BCI and this is a remake of THE WEREWOLF VS THE VAMPIRE WOMAN.
