A question for the mirage owners

I have om10's L/R, C2, and R2's

I will be (hopefully) getting my 950 pre/pro sooner than later, but I am torn on which amp to get. I'm just going to get 5 channel now and a 2 channel near the end of the summer. For 5 channel I have been considering parasound 1205a, acurus a200x5, outlaw 750, ati 1505, rotel 1075. Suggestions? Since the 10's are relatively efficient (90db) do I need 200 wpc?

Thanks - Grahame B.

i used an acurus 200five with my frx-7 / frx-c / frx-r with very good results. the only reason i sold it was due to my amp upgrade (aragon 8008x3b / 8008bb). i know you can't go wrong with the acurus. as far as the other amps go, i have no experience but i'm sure somebody will chime in here soon.

I have the Acurus A200 and A200x3 for my OM-6's, OM-C2, and OM-R2's. It's a great combination.

Ooh, I'm a Mirage owner! My aging ps12-90 subwoofer has served me well, but I'm hoping to replace it with a SVS PCi before too long. Unfortunately none of this has anything to do with the actual topic of discussion, but at least I am a Mirage owner of sorts.

And now back to your regularly scheduled posts...

Grahame:

I own a pair of Mirage OM-6 speakers and run them from a Rotel RB-1080 200wpc amplifier. The 200wpc is not overkill in my opinion, as worst case, there is plenty of headroom available to avoid amp clipping and the problems that will create. To me, this amp sounds great and is not too expensive. Hope this will be of some help.
