Forgive me for butting in, but I could post updates a couple/few times a day, John, if it's ok with you. As I said, I'm keeping track in an Excel worksheet. This is the first BIG tourney I've gotten in on from the beginning, so I wanted to make it easy on myself and know exactly where things were wrt noms, 2nds and 3rds.
That would be great...I have school during the day and find it hard to have time to update. If you feel like updated every now and then, then go for it.

I just noticed that I nominated Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, which isn't eligible. I meant to nominate Cool Hand Luke, but my typing fingers got the two Paul Newman movies confused. Sorry.

I'll second American Psycho.
I, for one, think the thirds are valuable. For one thing, it assures that at least three people will have actually seen the film in question.

Nominate:
Three Kings
And one more thing on the ‘too much data, not enough information’ category: I find looking up the titles in the master list to be time-consuming and error-prone, because the titles are not in alphabetical order.

Shouldn't In the Mouth of Madness be in the main list now? It recieved a second as well as a third.
That being said...
2 New Nominations...
The Goonies
Revenge of the Nerds
EDIT: (was going to nominate Escape From New York, but just remembered that the Tri-Lams deserve equal representation.) ;)
2 Left-Over Seconds with 3 New ones (5 total)
Stand By Me
The Jerk
Batman ('89)
The Usual Suspects
Say Anything...
2 Left-Over Thirds with 3 New ones (5 total)
A Christmas Story

Back to the Future
Superman
The Omen

Ok, thanks John! I've been gone all day today though, so I'm updating now and will post in a few minutes.

Walt, The Usual Suspects had already been seconded. I made your second a third (if that's ok). I think you get some others from earlier and I'm going to double check that. I'll get back to you later.

Walt, you get another third for Braveheart: was nominated by Steeve Bergeron, seconded by Iain Jackson and seconded again by Andrew_Sch (which I made a third).

I found out that I get another third too. I thirded A Clockwork Orange, which Scott Weinberg had already thirded.

I THIRD: Jackie Brown.

Since I don't have access to change John's post on the front page, I'll have to post here.

(EDIT: list moved to the next page)

I reversed the seconds and thirds, but that's fixed now. This is good practise if I ever want to run a tourney myself. How do you guys with actual lives do it? Man! :emoji_thumbsup:

Lew, I had cut and pasted the 2nd and 3rd list in backwards, and forgot to change the text. I'll make your third for Willy a second. You're welcome!

I must say, Vickie is a godsend. Unfortunately, if she were to check Post 69, she will see 3 movies that were thirded in that are not yet on the master list, and 3 movies that were seconded that are not yet on the thirds list. Sorry. :)
