Anyone have any experience of these tv's?

I do own a Medion Media Laptop I bought about two years ago. It was a hybrid of a top of the line Gateway Laptop at the time.

Except the Medion had more and cost less. The parts were all name brand. The case (though a different color) and even the buttons were all the same. Even down to the offbeat moon and earth buttons. Just a different name slapped on. $1499 for the Medion vs $2200 for the Gateway.

I just wanted to know if the Tv's are a similar situation?

Also, is this a good deal or is there better?

I thought about getting this for the bedroom until we get something else in a year or so. If the pic sucks, I would of course pass.
