I am not sure if this has been posted before, but I will pass alone some information if it helps.

Last night I was at Best Buy and I asked a clerk about when they assume that they will get Blu-Ray or HD DVD. He said that they will not be out for a while, and that Blu-Ray will be out sometime around June and be about $1,700 as a low-end player. He referred me to Magnolia, the sister store of Best Buy and said that they will probably be one of the first stores to get the players. Has anyone heard of this store and does this seem like a likely case?

Iam from Seattle and grew up in the Magnolia neighborhood where the first original store opened back in the 50's.

    Here is the link:http://www.magnoliahifi.com/

They, from the start, have always carried the top of the line products, along with their price. Since they don't have a store in South Bend why don't you come out to Seattle this weekend, check out a couple of their stores, and watch the game?

You know, I would like to take you up on the offer, but I don't think my wallet would like it if I went to that store, [IMG]

Is June the actual release month? I thought it was March'ish...

BB has a controlling stake in Magnolia now, so you might start seeing Magnolia creep westward, and in some cases there's a 'Magnolia Store' inside BB

HD-DVD is supposed to be out in March (late March I believe). Blu-Ray I think is sometime around June or July though.

From what I understand Magnolia were acquired by Best Buy

You'll increasingly see them within BB locations.

By this forums standards, Magnolia is mid range and highger versus high end

    A good compliment to BB
