Lumens??? Does it matter? (1 Viewer)

I have a question for all the experts out there.

My dedicated HT room will be 15' x 11' x 8'. There are no windows and can be pitch dark if needed.

My question is: As I look for a projector, what lumens number should I get for this type of setting? Does it really matter?

I was looking at the Sanyo Z1 and it has 800 lumens. Will that be good enough?

If you're in a totally dark room, lumens isn't so important. The more light in a room, the more lumens you need to have the picture show up nice. In a lit room, you need massive lumens, while in a dark room you don't need many at all.
