I've had the German DVD for years. I also had the U.K. DVD(sold it when I found a German).

IF it is anything like the DVD, yes...it is worth the risk.

I'm reviving this thread to ask if anyone has viewed the German BD (or the French, or any other) of Lost Highway and can say anything about the transfer quality and the preservation of the correct running time.

I have the US DVD and, being in something of a Lynch mode right now, I decided to upgrade this one to Blu-ray. I went for the UK edition without, apparently, doing my homework. And shame on me, because I put it on only to find the running time reflecting 4% PAL speedup. On a Blu-ray?? Yes indeed. The bitrate is perfectly generous, but the image shows only the slightest improvement from what's on my DVD. The Oppo reports it as AVC BD - "PAL 16:9".

Bottom line, what I spent my money on is a PAL version of what I already had, and I only watch things with PAL speedup when no alternative exists. The shorts included as extras are great, but I'd probably find them elsewhere. I'm reluctant to trust Amazon listings on technical details, so am hoping someone can point me to whatever the current best version of Lost Highway might be.

Does look like 24/23.976 Hz to me for Germany and France, have a look for yourself:

The French version has some kind of grain/noise reduction applied which is completely unnecessary given its high bitrate and visible at closer viewing distances:

I therefore got the lower bitrate German version and I am pretty happy with it until this is getting a makeover from the ground up.

Gamma looks a bit funny by the way on both Blu-rays, they look unusually washed out compared to the previous DVD version:
