I have been out of the DIY market for a while. Currently I have Adire 281 fronts and 81 rears and a large Sonosub. I am looking for suggestions on a center channel that will match up well. Any suggestions are appreciate and budget is $300 or so but may go slightly more

I have no idea how you are going to match up an Adire. I suggest checking at AVS in the DIY section because a former Adire employee posts there.

Best bet is to try and find the most similar Tweeter, mid-range to match his Adire fronts. You can match most commercial speakers pretty well if you copy the Type of tweeter (dome, peizo) and size of it. It's the most substantial factor when it comes to copying the unique speaker "sound".

Unless you are Steve K. from Adire, then I will disagree.

Brett, you might want to check with Dan - http://www.acousticdev.com/cms/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=44&Itemid=55
