No cut contains all the extant scenes, but the 1988 cut is the longest.

Theatrical version: 106 min
1988 Turner Preview Cut: 122 min
2005 Special Edition: 115 min

EDIT: According to info on the DVD itself, the main complaint leveled against the 1988 cut was that it was badly paced; therefor, the restoration team "fixed" that by making deletions. These deletions were based on Peckinpah's notes - partly, and the rest (most of the changes) were decided on by the restoration team. The 2005 cut is really beginning to sound like a travesty, to me.

Normally, I'd agree with that. But the fact that his website was originally talking about it possibly falling through, like that was a bad thing, and since, aside from his website, nothing but the very earliest reports mention additional footage, I really don't see it as a marketing ploy. If it were, there'd be more marketing.

Elijah, I see what you're saying. I'll change it to the '88 cut.
