With regard to High Noon and The Quiet Man, I really don't see what is wrong with the transfers. They look fine to me.

Is this a flame-bait or sarcasm?

I'm not very picky when it comes to video quality, as the majority of what I watch are 40+ years old. That said, I own over 500 DVDs and the "Quiet Man" is the only disc that I consider unwatchable. It is worse than VHS quality. I sold my copy on Ebay and then bought the SE at a used shop so that Artisan wouldn't see any more money from my pocket. I bought the SE for the bonus material only and still haven't been able to belly up to putting it in.
