I assume Eric Lindros is not hurt right now. One never knows with Lindros, but I haven't heard anything. What I have heard is that Lindros did not make the trip to Philadelphia for tonight's Rangers-Flyers pre-season game. NBC10 in Philadelphia speculated that the Rangers want to save Lindros' return for the regular season. This is a situation when I despise a player becoming bigger than the game. Frankly, with all the soap opera-quality drama that surrounded Lindros' departure from the Flyers for a few years, I don't feel he is worth all the staging that his return to Philadelphia is garnering.

Actually, the Rangers Flyers game was stopped at the third period, so that the players could watch President Bush's address.

Actually, it was stopped because the fans started booing and chanting "leave it on" when they tried to start the third period.
I thought it was pretty much stated when Lindros was traded to NY that he wouldn't be playing in the pre-season game back in Philly. I wasn't surprised.
What'll be interesting to watch (Thank you, DirecTV) is the Penguins/Scranton-Wilkes Barre on Saturday, with Mario playing for the minor league team...
