My aunt was going to take her kids to go see it- until I told her it was R-rated. She had no idea.

In fact, if you look at the trailers and dont know what South Park is, it looks somewhat like a kids movie. Hah!

Cant wait for this movie!

If Americans would realize that animation and puppets can be used to create adult entertainment, not just kid stuff, they wouldn't make such mistakes.

Too many people automatically assume cartoon = kids.

Well, I guess that's why we have the MPAA.

I don't mind the R rating too much, this movie's still going to be really funny...especially judging from that newest trailer, which is frickin hilarious. Thanks for posting btw.

I just bought tix off of Fandango for a screening that they're doing in DC on Saturday -- which means i get to see this EARLY!!!

I think that's explicit enough, with or without genitalia. *Anyone* under the age of 17 is allowed to see this with a guardian. There are some severely retarded guardians out there. However, if Paramount released the NC-17 version on DVD, they could buy it and show it to their kids as well, so...:-/

Maybe they put the puppet sex scene in there, knowing it would be too racy for the MPAA, but then cut a deal where they could leave the rest of the movie as it is and only cut down this one scene to achieve the R rating? For all we know, the rest of the movie could be exactly as they want it except for this one scene.

RobertR,

Source, please?

According to what I've read, from Matt & Trey, the scene is no different than what kids do with their own Barbie dolls. I haven't heard or read anything about bodily fluids being involved.

Which says nothing about what is or isn’t in it.

Remember the doll “sadist” in Toy Story? Now imagine him doing sexual things with the dolls, and you can easily see that they could do such a thing. I don’t interpret that statement as saying “we did everything in this movie within the mental framework of an innocent child”. Clearly they didn’t, anymore than they only do with South Park what “kids do with cutout paper” when they show a talking turd, Saddam with a dildo, etc.

Ok, here's what happens:

Spoiler:When the dolls have sex, they rotate between about six different positions with a lot of vulgarities as dialogue; they rotate from girl on top, to doggie, to missionary, to characters going down, and so on.. the scene takes up a fair chunk of time and is very detailed - with far more suggestive language and action then I can remember in almost any non-pornographic film.

Thanks for clearing that up, everybody.

I'll be at a party when the sneak preview is on, but I hope to see the film on opening day when its general release comes.

Full flick starts here in KC in 20 minutes, I'm on my way out the door now for the sneak peak at the local Cinemark.
