Damnit how did I miss this? http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/yotricks/civility-yoyo-yotrickscom
A precision balanced Butterfly yoyo? I would ave loved that back in high school!
I think this might be the best Kickstarter story yet: http://www.wired.com/design/2013/02/ryan-north-kickstarted-head-pop
Can't wait to play with this tonight! http://www.kickstarter.com/blog/introducing-the-kickstarter-app-for-iphone-and-ipo
Hell yes in for this: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1351910088/3doodler-the-worlds-first-3d-printing-pen
Wow, that is wild!
That's awesome! How can that not be on every 12-yr old boy's Christmas list this year?
It's a hit! http://techcrunch.com/2013/02/19/3d-printing-pen-the-3doodler-reaches-kickstarter-funding-goal-in-hours/
It's hard to determine if this: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1820893788/katalyka/posts Is A. A scam because the creator can't actually deliver the goods B. Real psychological issues C. Her attempts to just be artsy.... Strange....
You've only just discovered the wonder that is Katalyka? That's, like, the most famous Kickstarter fail ever! (BTW, the answer is "all three.")
That's truly sad then. No, I never heard of it. I miss a LOT of cool Kickstarters. Even with Kicktraq I need a service that roots out the cool Kickstarters that I would be interested in. Like this one, by Joey L, who I follow on Twitter! http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/joeyl/people-of-the-delta-film-project How did I miss THAT? In for a $10er, no brainer. One metric Kickstarter doesn't push as much as they should: Projects which are near or just passed their funding goal. "These projects are close and need your help to put them over the limit" seems like a no brainer to me.... As does "This project just passed its funding goal! Jump in now and help them hit their stretch goals with assurance that they have already pegged their minimum!"
Oh hell yes. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/90538351/rifftrax-wants-to-riff-twilight-live-in-theaters-n
Sam: HELL to the Yes. I am 100% in on that one. I would have went all in, but the highest buy option now is $125. Damnit, I would have snagged all the way, that one is a winner. Thanks for pointing that one out Sam
Welcome! Keep watching, I bet they open more premium rewards!
Holy cow. They doubled their goal in under 18 hours. Kind of shows you what fans that has. Over $110k in first day.. jeez!
Sometimes if you contact the organizer of a KS project that you missed, they can accept a late back-channel pledge. I in fact just did that the other day when a friend shamed me into regretting not pledging something.
This won't end well: http://www.theverge.com/2013/2/26/4031938/new-crowdfunding-platforms-let-you-sell-stock-in-yourself
Not sure on this one but it has the support of Guillermo Del Toro: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1320581435/moonbot-studios-next-game-the-golem
Jeez Sam that rifftrax one is almost 200k after 3 days. Damn
