I've confirmed with my contact at Sony that all four Karate Kid films are being re-released as separate single-disc releases. It looks like they'll include the same features as on the boxed set (lots of stuff for the original; mostly just trailers for the others). The original comes out on June 7; I'm not sure of the exact release dates for the others.

According to Amazon, II and III come out on June 7. Next is listed as "usually ships within 1 to 2 months."

I definitely want I and II, and possibly III, so my best bet is probably still the box set.

They announced screener availability for I and IV the other day, but the only one showing up on Sony's schedule at the time was I on June 7. Sounds like they'll all be out then.

At the price, the boxed set is probably worth it if you want more than one of them.

Unless these are all $10 (or less) each, it will just as, if not more expensive to buy just parts 1 and 2 than it did for the whole boxed set. The week it came out, most major retailers had the set for $24.99. So lets say Part 1 is $14.99 and Part 2 is $9.99, thats going to be the same price.

I have no interest in parts 3 and 4 either, but at least theyre there.

I don't think part III is that bad. It's entertaining.

I just watched Next Karate Kid tonight to see if it was as bad as I remembered - it was worse, lol. The plot was bad, but the very end was beyond bad, it's like they just gave up and handed the directing to a 10 year old.

Without trying to sound like a perv or anything, was it just me, or did Hillary Swank look "bustier" back then?

You dirty lech! (Kidding! :) ) I haven't seen her last couple of films, but as of Boys Don't Cry, she still had great curves. :)

Of course, it's not unheard-of for actresses to get skinnier as they get more popular (e.g. Jennifer Connelly, Lindsay Lohan, et. al.).

Nor is it unheard of for women to become smaller when they get into extremely muscular physical shape, as Swank did for Million Dollar Baby.

Mr. Silver as a rich villain who owns a company that deals with dumping toxic waste, makes up pretend war stories, has an evil cackle laugh, looks exactly like Super Macho Man from Mike Tyson's Punchout, and happens to use karate agressively is just about as good as they come in my book :emoji_thumbsup:

Wasn't Yukie supposed to come back to America to live with Mr. Miyagi?
