Hi guys, I'm a newbie looking to buy a pair of karaoke speaker for my new house. My budget is 1000$, for now. I own a pair of jbl lsr 308, and really like the sound quality from it. If you can find similar brand that sound as good as jbl or so, please introduce it to me, thanks guys. As for the size of the speaker, I don't care about it much, passive or active doesn't matter to me.

If you like the sound of JBLs - you could go with a PA package for karaoke - something like this. goes for $450.00

You can run whatever your sound source is, and mix in the mikes.

They make many PA systems - so for your budget you could go a little crazy - but you need a PA system that is made for live music. I have seen more than 1 "normal" speaker system have issues when trying to run live mike inputs through it.
