Carpenter has made some good movies, but they were never really big hits. IMO.

I hope all of you who are replying to this comment realize that it's from Oct. 29, 2001. That's a long time ago. Maybe the poster's views have changed.

Well....Carpenter hasn't made a film since then so.....

Some films you just fall in love with. Certainly some of their bigger budget or more popular films are seen constantly, but for me there is nothing better from these two (Carpenter and Landis) than Big Trouble in Little China and Into the Night. Just something about those two films, I could watch them a hundred times and still love it to pieces. Their other stuff is great too, but those films just have a special magic that you couldn't capture again if you tried.
